    Hi Markus,

Yes, as I said please ask your host to upgrade your MySQL database so that it is in sync with your MySQL Client API version (see my last post) and be sure to backup your current database before doing this. Hopefully that will resolve the issue. Please keep us posted!

Will have to do the upgrade myself - exporting the current database, create a new one, and inport the old one.

However, before doing so, I have another, new problem to solve, which arised since you reinstalled my site. My readers report now, that all my old articles are cut off in the middle, and only display part of the content.

    Here is an example:

    http://www.hotelmarketing.com/index.php/content/article/why_hotel_marketers_should_beware_of_flash_sales_and_group_buying_sites

Any idea, how we could solve this quickly?

    Best, markus

This is something your host will have to do for you

What is missing from this article? I am not familiar with the content. Is it appearing in your control panel?
What is in the template to display this text?

    Hi Markus,

First I just wanted to clarify that I did not re-install your site. After logging in I found that your exp_sites table had been truncated but was able to correct this using your SQL backup. I did not alter any of the other tables. At this point you have also discovered that your article entries are truncated, which is not a good sign.

All of this points to an issue with MySQL, which is out of EE’s control. I’d first ensure that your MySQL Client API and Server versions match, but there may be other issues on the hosting side. Please keep us posted with your progress.
