On latest EE2.1.1 build (20101020), it would seem there’s a problem some times when adding new fields to a existing publish layout.

See this video for a demonstration.

As you see, there is no problem adding/removing the URL title field.

Have any one else experienced this?

Are you using SEO Lite as well? Or any other third-party add-ons?

If it’s a bug in SEO Lite I’d like to hear about it.

Hi, Fred. From viewing the video, it looks like you have a Pixel and Tonic field in there too. So perhaps a combination of the two?

It would seem it got something to due with existing publish layouts and adding new fields. I’m not sure what provokes it.

I made a new channel, added the P&T field and did some testing, but i’m not able to reproduce it. It has only happend twice: Once while installing SEO Lite (it adds a tab and fields to all channels without custom layouts set) and with this field: A simple text field.

What can I do to debug this?

Try with a local install. Is it only when SEO Lite is in the mix?
