It seems I can’t find a way to delete an entry when residing on the entry edit screen.

    Is it possible?

Hi, Fred. You’ll need to place a check mark next to the items you want to delete, then scroll down to find the submit button. One of the options is to delete entries.

But if you’re meaning *inside* the entry, you can only set the status to be closed, which will make the entries not show up on the front of the page.

    Does that help?

Actually, I’m looking for a way to delete the entry while editing it.

Using checkboxes and selecting the delete action is an akward way most of the time, and doesn’t fit well into most of my customers usual workflow.

Unfortunately there is no way to delete the entry you’re currently editing. Feel free to make a Feature Request, please.

I’ve seen a few plugins that allow you to make all kinds of edits (including deletion) to entries outside the control panel. E.g., Missing Link. Devot-ee has a few more potential ‘delete entry’ plugins to check.
