Hi I have just moved my ee site to a new server, now when I update the templates they save with backslashes everywhere.

I’m guessing I have got a setting wrong in my database. Could someone please advise.

    Thanks

    Hi, Nate.
Since you’re new to the EE forums, have you seen EEWiki:// How to Post a Support Request?

Which version/build of EE1.x are you using? You can find that at the bottom of any control panel site.

Also, there are three different magic_quotes settings you’ll find in your PHP Info page. What are the values for those?

    My bad, sorry.

    heres the details:

All Magic Quotes are Off, do I need to have them the same as you image your image provided?

    Thanks for your help.

That’s the settings I have on my 1.7.0 site, check your previous hosting, I’ll bet they’re similar.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it didn’t work.

    I used a .htaccess file with; php_value magic_quotes_gpc on

Which then setup php to be he same as your image above.

Can we have you upgrade to 1.7.0 to see if that makes a difference?

I’m going to try a fresh install on my server, see what happens with that. I’ll post back soon
