This is for a website running EE 1.6.9

This site has been live a few weeks and initially running OK - but in the last week we’ve discovered emails aren’t been received when sent from the Contact page, using the EE email contact form.

I get an ‘email has been sent’ message - but nothing is ever received on several different emails I’ve tried.

If I send from the communicate tab - the message is being received.

No plugins/extensions have been added/edited between email working correctly and having this error - so I don’t think it’s caused by these. I’ve checked with the site hosts (Engine Hosting) and confirmed nothing has changed on the hosting configuration.

I’ve created a stripped down test page containing only the contact form and still no joy - so pretty certain it’s not caused by conflicts from anything else. And the form itself is more or less identical to ones I’m using on other sites with no problems ... so I’m really at a loss as what might be the cause?

I’ve made a few changes and things are working again now ... unfortunately I don’t know which of the changes was the fix - maybe I’ll go back and un-fix it to figure this out when I’ve got the energy for it!
