I’m using PHP mail setting.
Hotmail users are not receiving an activation email. not in their spam/junk mail or trash folders. They also don’t receive email when being sent through the communication module.
Any idea on how to fix this?
Thanks
Ryan

I don’t think this is an EE issue as such. Are you using an email address that uses the domain you’re sending from, or something unrelated? This only affects hotmail.com?
I’d also recommend upgrading to EE 1.7.

Hi Ingmar,
Should the sender’s email address NOT be using the same domain as the website? or does Hotmail prefer it to be the same?

Hi Sam,
This thread is really stale, but I think you have a valid point there. If the sender email address and the originating sever domain are mis-matched, they could be blocked by Hotmail.
Thanks for your input!
Cheers,
