Hi when I edit my values in Field Display order in EE2 it re-shuffles my custom fields nicely to the correct order in the custom field page but on editing an entry the fields do not seem to be in the correct order .. ?

I always run in 10’s e.g.

Field 1 = 10
Field 2 = 20
Field 3 = 30

etc etc and I have added a field in at 9 to take it to the top .. as mentioned above the field shows at the top in the custom fields page but is shown at the bottom of the publish form when editing an entry in the CP.

Am I missing the point somehow ?

Try resetting the publish form layout.

What version and build of EE are you using?

Are you using customized publish form layouts? Does resetting it help like jparavisini suggests?

Im using 2.1.1 having never used EE2 before (only EE1).

Excuse my “newbie-ness”  how do I reset Publish Form layouts ..

ah all sorted .. it was an extension called hidden tab messing things about .. now un-installed as I get my head round workflow of EE2 ..
