Hello, I am currently using expression engine 1.6.9. I did a fresh install into a subdirectory of my domain.
The template for my index page shows up fine site/index.
Any other URL I try to load only displays my index template.
I do not have any .htaccess files.

It sounds like you may need to Force URL query strings
CP Home › Admin › System Preferences › Output and Debugging Preferences
