As since today I have a bizar problem. Running EE 1.6.8
Situation: site with members being able to add foto’s in the photogallery using Solspace Gallery Extended.
What happened: I’ve assisted several members to apply membership, and (after my approval as admin) helped them with adding their images. Using my own computer, from different IP adresses.
Problem: Since that moment are those new images attached to my own account. (Not as admin, I also have a ordinary user account as plain member)

{author} shows my name, in stead of the name of the new members.

I deleted the images several times (also direct from server), deleted members, made them new member. Problem is persistent.
    What to do now?

    Hi

Thanks for answering, and sorry for the delay.
After long time thinking I g u e s s it had to do with the way Safari treats cookies. it’s hard to get rid of those. I redesigned this part of the site, the old code is not relevant anymore.

*I had the impression that there was not so much wrong with the code of my template, because the page did work about 25 times, when different members uploaded their images sucessfully. There must have been someting else. I stood today for a choice, to continue lookin for that problem (after some nightly hours in vain…;-(  ........or change the plan.

The module I used from Solscpace Gallery Extended works fast and good, but there were two things that did not match my expectations.
First,  the members could not edit their entrees through the front-end, something that they were used to with ‘normal’ entrees and the SAEF that I made. They do not see the difference, so I got some complains.
And secondly I discovered that I as admin could not change the author of a single entree. (What I can do with normal weblogs if the members are on the publish list)

So, I made a decision to follow another route. I made an extra weblog for members to publish images with text etc. And a SAEF. I loose for sure certain advantages from the Gallery module, but I gain other things.

*I had posted my question also on the site of Solspace. This is (part of) my answer
