Hello,
We have redesigned the homepage at http://www.munley.com/index2 and we are running a Google A/B test in google website optimizer, but we are having trouble with the AB test reading/validating the links for the real homepage and the conversion page, http://www.munley.com/thanks.html
I set the AB test up but right off I had trouble with the original page and thanks page validating. Please see the screeny at http://idisk.me.com/kevans/Public/Pictures/Skitch/Website_Optimizer_-_Munley_Homepage-20101110-161911.jpg
Those link highlighted in red are the real links; I played it for awhile thinking I had put the script in the wrong places but they are correct. In order to get it to validate the pages I had to change the link of the homepage by adding index to the url and the site template group to the thanks.html page. Please see the screeny at http://idisk.me.com/kevans/Public/Pictures/Skitch/Website_Optimizer_-_Munley_Homepage_Redesign-20101110-161958.jpg
That validated fine but after a couple of days with the test started we noticed that we weren’t getting any conversions in the report screen. So we think it has to do something with how google is reading something in EE or the mod rewrite script….etc… See http://idisk.me.com/kevans/Public/Pictures/Skitch/Website_Optimizer_-_Munley_Homepage_Redesign-20101110-163341.jpg
Any ideas? We ran a AB test on another EE site with no problems. We even tried bringing over the .htaccess file from that working site into the problematic one but no go.
Thanks!
Kevin
