    Hi all,

I have the site working, but the client needs to have an excel file of members (name and email) imported in EE. It needs to autogenerate a password, en the imported member needs to receieve a mail with the login credentials and an accompanying text.

I know how to imprt the members with an xml file, but I’m more interested in the autogeneartion of the pwd and the sending of the mail.

Can anyone guide me how to do this?

    Thx,
    Michel

    Hi Michel,

The easiest way to handle this is to leave the passwords out of the imported file and have EE auto-generate them. Then you can send a batch email to all members from the Communicate tab with a link to the forgot password page. Does that help?
