Is there a new way to prevent spammers signing up on my site?
I use the EE registration form for new members and i use it with a captcha, but we have a lot of spammer subscriptions.

How can i add a new field on the expression engine registration form? To ask the user a question that a spammer would miss. For example: What city were you born in? (We could add a disclaimer that this question is asked to prevent spammers.)

Do you have any idea is there some plugin to stop the spammers?

If i upgrade to the 1.9 will prevent it?

    Working on ExpressionEngine 1.6.7

    Thank you

Not really. This thread has a few tips & tricks. There is no good defense against human spammers, though, which are becoming increasingly more common.
