How can I 'hide' items from the 'Content > Publish' List?

There are some channels that contain static content and should only exist as 1 entry. I don’t want my cleint to get confused, create a new entry and overwrite the entry that’s already there.

How can I hide it from the publish list so the only accessible place to edit that channel entry is from ‘Content > Edit’ ? So now when they went to ‘Content > Publish’ the only things that dropped down would be dynamic stuff (news, blogs etc).

    Thanks

Create a member group for the client in the Membership group p you will find “Channel Assignment” where you can define which channels your client can post and edit entries in.

I saw that, but not sure it’s what I’m after. I want the client to be able to edit the entry but not post a new one. For example an ‘About’ page, I want them to be able to go in and edit the one that’s already there but not have the option to create a new ‘About’ page. Is that what Channel Assignment is for?

Ok, after some digging I don’t think it’s possible to do it natively in EE (why not?!).

However this Accessory looks like it should do the trick I hope.
