Previously we have 1 main site and 23 MSM sites running with no problems.  We recently purchased 3 more licenses and have added the three files to the matching directories as listed in the guide.

Upload core.sites.php to your system/core directory.
Upload cp.sites.php to your system/cp directory.
Upload lang.sites.php to your system/language/english directory.

I expected that after the upload was completed and I cleared the cache and re-launching the site I see a button on the MSM page that would allow me to add the new site.  I have tried all that I can think of at this point and still do not see the “Add Site” button on the MSM page.

Any thoughts for ways I can troubleshoot this further.

    Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums, Josh!

Since you’re new to our forums, have you seen EEWiki:// How to Post a Support Request?

What version/build of EE1.x are you using? You can see that at the bottom of any control panel page.

Hi, Josh. Is there a reason you haven’t also upgraded to EE 1.7.0?

We are looking into this further on our end and have 1 major question.  Why when we purchased the 3 additional licenses did it not add to our original MSM license count of 23 making it now 26.  Instead the package I download has a new license # for 3 additional sites.  Is this how it should work?  I would have expected that we would keep the same MSM license # and just have 3 more sites.

    Thoughts?

Probably the best thing to do in this case is to send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) - I don’t know for certain how they’re handling things. Sorry to not have a more immediate response.

Yes, that’s certainly the best thing to do. Please start a new thread in case there’s anything else.
