I’m moving an ee site from one server to another.  This was not easy and I think EE could do a lot more to make this a quick, painless operation instead of the hours required for manually copying files and editing configs.  But anyway, now the site seems in place and some pages load, but anything connected to the modules doesn’t.  For example, it won’t go to the member list, the forum, anything like that.  Instead of showing a page, it just returns to the home page as if the links weren’t even there at all.

If I go through the backend the database seems to be there and has the right data.  Might I have overlooked some file or directory that needs to be updated?

Thank you for any help or suggestions!

    Hi dfravel,

    Welcome to the forums!

Please make sure that you have cleared all the site caches. You can do this by FTP’ing into your site and clearing everything from the system/cache folder apart from the index.html and any .htaccess file.

Do you have an .htaccess file in your site root to remove index.php?

    Cheers

    Greg
