    hi there

i have built a site on EE 1.x and need to build another site that will essentially use the same info from one of the weblogs on the first site.  ideally, if i was building this on EE 2 i could use MSM, however, i’m on 1.x and so can’t use that.

a migration won’t work because i’m not trying to migrate, i’m simply wanting to duplicate the blog info from one site into another site.

is there anyway to copy this info that someone can direct me towards?  i imagine that before doing so, i’d have to set up a weblog, with associated custom weblog fields, then i could *hopefully* just transfer the info.

any help would be great, thanks!

Why not? When you purchase MSM, the download will contain a folder with the EE 1 files.  You can still use MSM and EE 1 together.

on that page, under requirements, it says EE 2.1 or later.  am i reading that wrong or misunderstanding?

That does need to be updated.  MSM includes, in its downloads, files to work with EE 1.7.
