Hi EE’rs.  I’m getting pretty comfortable with EE now but the one part of the puzzle that i haven’t yet been able to wrap my head around is sitemaps.  Are there some best or at least common practices when it comes to creating a sitemap in EE?

I haven’t worked with it, but there seems to be a module for that purpose. Might be worth checking out.

I often just create a template that lists all required entries - example http://www.blue-dreamer.co.uk/sitemap/

You could also use a XML template as well if you wanted data like chnage frequencies etc

Just throwing this out there, but if you happen to be using Structure (buildwithstructure.com) for your site navigation, it has a tag for dynamically displaying the sitemap automagically =)

Bluedreamer, I think I’ll probably approach it the way you have - seems like a straight forward way to handle it.  THanks for the advice.  I’m not using Structure currently (though I’ve been debating giving it a try for a future project) so that little tidbit I’ll have to try out when I do.

    Thanks all.
