I’m about ready to go find a very hard wall to smack my head repeatedly into.

I’ve downloaded the latest 1.7.0 release of EE for upgrading a site - particularly because this site, which was developed over a year ago, keeps getting pulled down for a bad load problem by the web host. To begin to try to troubleshoot, I am upgrading it to 1.7.0.

I followed the instructions for update, including permissions, etc, and loaded in the update page to start. This is ALL I get:

“You are currently running ExpressionEngine: Version 1.6.7

NO link. I checked permissions and such. Help! Why is there no link to proceed on the update??

I should also mention that, the site is offline because I uploaded the files for 1.7.0 already - so I am stuck!

OMG. I am a total idiot. I think panic and a bad FTP program made me load the file folders in the main public folder not system. Please delete this thread.

No worries. Start a new one when needed, please.
