I know this is the wrong forum but I can’t post to the support forums and I have requested access via email with the license # per the forum instructions.

I have had installed the EE 2 Discussion Forum Module for my client and I get the following error when attempting to view the forums:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Stats_mcp::statdata() in ... /system/expressionengine/modules/forum/mod.forum_core.php on line 9436

I have downloaded the install file more than once and has reinstalled the forums module 3 times, each time resulting in the same error.

    Thanks for any help.

Since I see on a bunch of other posts that there are some standard first questions:
The site is running EE 2.1.1 (had same error on 2.1.0) and Discussion Forum Module 3.1.0.

Trinity13, I’ve only seen that error in the forums one other time, and it was in a bug report:

    https://support.ellislab.com/bugs/detail/13614/

Did you also upgrade the forum?

No, the forum was a fresh download and install yesterday. The website is new and hasn’t yet launched though it will this week if we can get this corrected.

Also, that error from the other post required a patch to fix.

Trinity13, I’ve pinged the dev team on this one. Thanks in advance for your patience.

I am also having the same issue. I just upgraded to EE 2.0 and updated the forum.

Craig, what version did you upgrade from? What can you tell us about your server? Version of PHP, MySQL, that sort of thing.

I’m also having the exact same issue.

I was running EE 2.1 and Forums 3.0(something) and everything was fine.

I decided to uninstall the old 3.0 forums module, and install the new 3.1.0 forums module and am now receiving this error as well.

    Hi Sue.

My server is a LAMP server with PHP 5.1.6 and MySQL 5.0.77.

    I hope this helps.

LAMP Server PHP Version 5.3.3 MySQL 5.1.49. I upgraded from EE 1.6 - not sure what build, how can I check?

    Any update on this?

    Hi Trinity13, Craig S, Deisun,

Please confirm which version and build of EE you have installed. You should be able to see this at the bottom of every page in the CP. It will be something like v2.1.1 and build 20101020. Can you also confirm that the file system/expressionengine/libraries/Stats.php exists and has the correct permissions.

    Cheers

    Greg

It’s weird. Here is what I get:

    v2.1.1 Build: 20100810

All I can think of this is the upgrade didn’t complete correctly. I think it’s strange that the version and build don’t match.

I am currently out of town but I will reapply the update this week and get back with you on the results.

    p.s. I changed my name.

ExpressionEngine version is v2.1.0 Build 20101020
Forums version is 3.1.0 (fresh new install)

“Can you also confirm that the file system/expressionengine/libraries/Stats.php exists and has the correct permissions.”

I just took a look and I do not have a stats.php file in that folder.  WTF?
I have never deleted or even gone in to that folder so I don’t know why it would be missing.  How and where can I get that file?
