Ok I filled it with my sitename. You can test the newsletter signup at http://www.makitalgrup.com - it’s in the right-bottom corner. But how can you test it when a confirmation email does not come to the email submitted 😊

Because when I fill out a request to be added to the mailing list, I should receive an email with a link to click to be opted in.
However, I never got an email message from the form. That’s part of the problem. Does that make sense?
Can you use the Communicate tab to send an email to my ellislab account? .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) and let me know you sent it so I can check?

Just sent it to you and me. Since I received it, I hope you received it too.

Yes, I did receive an email from you. But for some reason the email sent from the site itself isn’t working.
What is the email address on the automated emails? Is it different from the one you sent me the email from?

Do you mean the “Email Address of Notification Recipient(s)” from the Mailing List Preferences? If it’s that, then it is the same.

braveheart,
In your Email Configuration can you change the Return email address for auto-generated emails to be an email not of the same domain of your site. A gmail or some other address will do.
And test again please

Yesss finally it works. I knew it was some simple setting, but didn’t knew which. Thanks a lot! 😊

Glad you are up and running again.
Some server set-ups treat auto generated emails from the same domain as spoofs and banish them via Spam Assassin or similar.
