    Wheew, ExpressionEngine 2.1.1!

So first off, ExpressionEngine 2.1.1 and 1.7 are security releases, and we recommend all users update as soon as possible.  Special thanks to mklann and EBSCO Publishing for working with us to get these buttoned up.

The 2.1.1 release includes over 50 bug fixes. We’d like to thank each and every one of you for the thoughtful bug reports and feedback.

I see no notes for 1.7.0 in the update section. Is that normal or I am looking at the wrong page?

Look here for the changelog. I don’t think there are any other special update notes.

I saw the changelog, I was specifically asking on update instructions. So I guess it will be a painless update 😊

“if debugging is the process of removing bugs,
then programming must be the process of putting them in”

Great to hear that Brandon was on the dev-team for this release-run.
Is this something we can expect more of, and maybe others as well?

Is it possible for you to (let someone) blogpost a bit more in depth about the various feature changes (with examples etc.)?
I get the general gist of many of the changelog items but sometimes it might give a bit more ‘oompf’ to know how a changed or added feature can be used, or for what particular usage it was invented.
