New installation of EE 2.1 (20100810)
    The installation process was problem-free

Hitting the Extensions page in CP gives me the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function send_ajax_response() on a non-object in
    .../expressionengine/core/EE_Exceptions.php on line 64

My steps: I tried to add an extension, went to the Extensions menu to enable it, and saw the error. I removed the extension, and still see the same error. All of the other Add-on menus load fine.

(I searched the forums and didn’t find a similar thread.)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Hi Brian,

When you removed the extension did you go through the uninstall process or did you just remove the addon folder? If you go to CP Home > Tools > Data > SQL Manager, click ‘Manage Database Tables’  and then click browse next to the exp_extensions table, do you see a table row for the extension that you tried to remove?

    Cheers

    Greg

    No luck.

exp_extensions has 0 records, and clicking through says, “The query you submitted did not produce any results.”

I’m not sure if it’s useful information, but I had never enabled the extension. The first time I visited the extensions menu, the error presented itself, so I was never able to enable it at the outset.

    brianhuffines,

I realize you didn’t get to the point of enabling it but can you confirm what you did to add the extension. Where did you add the extension folder?
    What extension was it?

Do you meet all our requirements?

Can you do a build update just to refresh your files to rule out corruption. Make sure to do a backup first

Guys, thanks for the help. At first, I believe, I (mistakenly?) added it to the expressionengine/third_party directory. The extension is nsm-htaccess-generator.1.0.3

Yes, all rows in the server wizard were good.

I’ve now backed-up my system and uploaded a fresh build of both EE 2.1, and MSM, and I’m greeted by the following error:
Fatal error: Class ‘CI_Loader’ not found in .../codeigniter/system/core/Common.php on line 166

I feel like I’m not making much progress here. Ack.

Brian, let’s have you do baby steps. There was a new build release yesterday evening. Can we get you to install *just* the base install of EE 2.11? We’ll get MSM in there too, but for now let’s concentrate on a base install.

So far, so good. I did a clean install of just EE 2.1.1, not MSM. It is up-and-running.

Yes, this has been successfully completed as well. I guess we can probably close out this thread if nothing blows up in the next 24 hours. I’m still confused by the initial errors, but really appreciate the help from everyone here.
