QuickSave works but Submit does not

I have set up a channel named ‘News’ where the member group ‘Program Directors’ is allowed to publish and edit entries.

When logged in as a program director, we have a problem when publishing a new entry, clicking ‘Quick save’ saves the entry but clicking ‘Submit’ does not. Clicking ‘Submit’ gives the error ‘You are not authorized to access this page’. The URL of the error message contains ‘&C=modules&M=Structure’ We do have Structure 2.1.5 installed. This only applies when publishing a new entry, not editing an existing entry. The channel is not managed by Structure.

    Additional wrinkle
Again, when logged in as a program director, when looking at the list of entries in the ‘Edit’ tab. Selecting an entry and trying to ‘Submit’ ‘Delete Selected’ from the popup menu at the bottom of the list also gives the error ‘You are not authorized to access this page’. This URL does NOT contain a reference to Structure.

    Any ideas how so solve?

Hendrik-Jan, is there any way to test without Structure being in the mix?

Thanks for checking in. I had posted the same question with the Structure team and someone pointed to the solution.

We had the ‘Redirect to Structure extension’ installed. By disabling that, the Submit button for publishing new entries worked for the member group in question. And then I was able to fix the ‘Delete entries by Edit tab’ by allowing editing the group’s permission to allow them to delete their own entries. (that one was a little silly on my part, but since the error message read the same I assume the same underlying issue)

    thanks again for checking in.

Glad you were able to figure out what the problem was. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
