    I upgraded from 1.6.4 to 1.6.9 following every step per the upgrade instructions.  I loaded the website via the site.com/wbs/update.php and stepped through the upgrade from 1.6.4 to 1.6.9.  Upon completion, I see this error on the home page, but not on any subsequent pages:

    Notice: Undefined offset: 2 in /usr/local/www/docs/istreamfs/wbs/plugins/pi.better_word_limit.php on line 67

    As far as I can tell, this is the ONLY error I am receiving.

    between the two versions (1.6.4 and 1.6.9) I’ve confirmed that the pi.better_word_wrap.php files are identical.

    I’ve traced the problem, I think, to the site/_media/templates/index.php file, but I don’t know why it’s actually erroring out:

    this doesn’t work…

    {exp:better_word_limit total="100"}{solutions_description_full}{/exp:better_word_limit}

    versus

    this does…

    {exp:word_limit total="100"}{solutions_description_full}{/exp:word_limit}

    Any reason why better would be returning an error in this case?
    Any reason not to just leave it without using ‘better’ ?

    istreamfs,

    Welcome to the forums 😊

    To begin with exp:word_limit works as it is a separate third party plugin included with EE

    better_word_limit looks to be a third-party plugin so you will have to contact the author for an update. I cant seem to find a reference for it though anywhere.

    If that is not possible then there are a lot more you could try available from devot-ee
