We were having a performance situation last night and I deduced that it would be a good thing to experiment with enabling persistent connections.
I went into Database Settings and changed it from Non Persistent to Persistent, clicked Update and it said that my settings had been saved.
But it still reported that I had Non Persistent connections. Is this a known bug? Or is there something else stopping me from making this change within EE?

What version and build of EE are you using? Make sure your config.php is writable.

Thanks, Ingmar. We’re on 1.6.9, but the issue was that we had secured config.php from being writable.
