Hello!

I really liked the simplicity around building dynamic pages on Expression Engine. Most tutorials are around blogs/news/announcements.

I was wondering if somebody can advice me on using EE for a reporting tool. I have the backend tables in MySQL and all reports will have have a dedicated table with similar data. The report presentation will be the same for all reports - one template.

There is a CSS-based report/table selection menu and a JQuery-based date selection and charting. Additionally, there will be two HTML tables that display aggregates.

I think it is possible and would appreciate if someone can guide me on this.

If you want to run this inside ExpressionEngine, it would be best build as a custom module.  That will require programming knowledge with PHP, MySQL, and EE’s Development API.
