I know that when displaying the channel:categories tag pair you can specify show_empty as no or yes.  But what if i want to say no and style empty categories differently?  For example, show the category name in the categories menu but not link it to anything, or perhaps show it in a different color?  Can this be done?  I guess basically what I’m asking is whether or not there is a conditional in EE that will allow you to do a lookup similar to what the show_empty parameter must be doing?  If empty, apply A styling, if not empty, apply B styling.

    Thanks,
    John

    Hi, John -

This is not a feature in ExpressionEngine; a custom query or plugin would be your best immediate solution.  You could also post a feature request for this enhancement.

I’m going to move this down tot he CodeShare Corner for you as well, in case some of the community members have some ideas for you.
