I would like to make available a PDF to only specific member groups?

I can place a link on a members only page but is there a quick/easy and/or best practice way that I can make unavailable the PDF even if you know the link if you are not logged in?

    Thank you.

The best way to do that is to use a custom plugin, which outputs the file from a secure folder when the user is in the propper user group. Which version of EE are you using?

    Thanks hd.

    We’re using both 1.6 and 2.1.

Do you know of something off the shelf or is this something we’ll have to roll up our sleeves and build?

There may very well be something like this for 1.6, but last I checked I had to code something like this for 2.

Thanks HD. May just need to make do this round and plan out something more long term afterwards.

    Again, thanks!
