Comments trouble ... the page is reloading after ‘submit’, but content is not posting to database in EE. Captcha shows fine, but even if I leave form field empty and click submit, I get no warning ... just a reload of page.

This is definitely a single entry page with url_title in the URI.

Have tried the conditional ‘{if allow_comments}’ test ... works fine ... meaning permissions are correct. Have no .htaccess file on the server.

Running EE 1.6.9. do have a bunch of plugins / extensions running ... chiefly WYGWAM, FF, NGEN FILE FIELD, FRESH VARIABLES, LG SOCIAL BOOKMARKS, REEORDER, TAG, EDIMAGESIZER, NTH, SIMPLE MATH

Help ... not sure where to turn now!!!

Hi, Mark. Can you test with no extensions at play? Has this ever worked?

Sorry Sue ... fried my HD last week ... been down ever since.

It did work at one point, but somewhere along the line it stopped.

I ended up going right back to the drawing board and copied the entire sample code from the User Guide and then modified it again, line by line, to fit my CSS layout ... it now works again!

The frustrating thing is that I do not know why ... obviously I was missing something!
