Wizard works fine. This EE 1.6.9 install was an upgrade from 1.5.2. The CP panel states EE 1.6.9 and CP url works great. The default site index [irrespective of mod_rewrite] >>
The system does not appear to be installed. Click here to install it.

Unfortunately this did not work for me. I just put the license number in on the General Config steps in your thread, but it would be the 2.1 license and I don’t have the 1.6.9 license # listed in my account. . .which I presume is different. . . and I don’t know if that is making a difference.

Not sure if that would make a difference. I don’t think that it would but I will defer that to a moderator. Also just as a double check, did you set the file permissions on config to 666?
Can you post a copy of your config with license #, db info, etc blocked out?
