I found an excellent module http://www.brandnewbox.co.uk/articles/details/datagrab_for_ee2.0 but it does not support import with playa and matrix fields.

Is there any module which can do that?

I have been using that module all morning and it is wonderful. I don’t know if it would be possible to add the matrix and playa functionality to the import. I’m not an add-on dev, but matrix and playa store the entry data differently. Playa *might* be possible, but seems like Matrix would be hard.

But I would have a use for this functionality as well.

    Hi,

Thanks for your interest in DataGrab.

I am planning to add support for both Playa and Matrix soon, although I don’t have a timescale at the moment.

The difficulty is not technical, but in building an easy-to-use, but flexible way to configure the fields - Matrix is effectively an import within an import.

Just curious to know if any progress has been made on importing into matrix? Could really use one… or at least a head start on a script.

I believe Andrew is working on this. It’s currently in beta testing (and looking real good).

Ooo good news as I will definitely be using this when I attempt to merge one site into an MSM install.
