Months ago I write a (really) very simple plugin to manage members login and registration via RPX (now Janrain: http://www.janrain.com/products/engage) ...

It’s at very early stage, totally untested and never used but today I’ve give it a try and seems to work. If someone have time and patience to give a try to it here the url to download and use it (and - really - at your own risks 😊 ... http://www.age38dev.com/assets/vari/errepics-0.0.3-20100913.zip

Works with free Janrain Engage version, and manage:

    - new registration via (6) providers, like FB/Twitter/Yahoo/ecc.
    - login via (6) providers
    - account remap (eg: first login with Twitter, then change re-login via FB)

    Limitation:

    - just implement basic login/registration features
    - new user must assigned to one single members groups

    To install:

    - unzip the file
    - the file must be put in config/ and change it for your needs
    - the folder (named: errepics) must be put in third_party folder
    - read the docs source pi.errepics.php file for the others installation steps

If it works for you I very appreciate if you post two rows to tell me where do you use it.
If it does not work for you please let me know, I’ll try to help you via email and/or etc.

    Many thanks in advance.

The file is not available anymore, and I’d like like to take a shot at it. 😊

Ops ... You are right, I apologize but I am not currently developing the addon due to my limited time to put on this.

If you have time & patience let me search for it on my archive, I’ll send you via PM the link where to download it.

    But please note:

    - At this moment I don’t know if Janrain API is different
    - I have not tested the addon with the latest EE version

Anyway if you’ll give a try and need help to test if it works for you, please contact me again.

Great. I’d love to read through some of the source. Though I won’t understand much of it. I’m trying to take my webdesign/programming up a notch, but wooh, sometimes it’s complicated 😊

I’d love to give the plugin a try as well. -I just almost have something working with the janrain plugin (though i guess it’s not really a plugin). I have it integrated and with this code below, i get it to post all the user details I need for my login database. Just not sure how to make it write it into the users table :/ Maybe you can point me in the right direction?

It’s okay if you don’t have the time to explain about the to a “newbie”, but if you have the old plugin I’d like to look it over and learn some from it 😊

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Viktor

Just not sure how to make it write it into the users table :/ Maybe you can point me in the right direction?

I’ve created custom fields where to store data sent by Janrain, you can do the same or implement a simple mechanism where associate member_id with these data (of course you have to write these queries by yourself) ...

Later night I’m trying to send you the code, it seems that work with the current Janrain API too.

    Hi dmitry,
I am sorry but at this moment I do not develop this plugin and seems that doesn’t work (for some reason) with the later EE version, and I’ve not time to put on this ...

If you have time (and patience) I think that you can fix all needs (registration works, login not) with some php code ...

Let me know if it’s ok for you, I’ll send you the link to download via PM.
