Is there anything I should be concerned about when moving an EE 1.6.9 website from a Windows host to a Linux host? I’m aware of the normal process (database and path setting updates) but just wanted to make sure there aren’t any other known issues when doing this.

    Thanks so much!

No, I don’t expect any particular issues. Some things might be no longer necessary on a Linux host, but they should still work. Well, one thing perhaps: UNIX servers are case sensitive Foo, foo and FOO are three different files. Apart from that it should be plain sailing. Let us know if you run into any issues 😊

Thanks, Ingmar. Appreciate the response! I’ll definitely be posting here if we run into any problems. The biggest thing is going to be getting the physical paths from the new hosting provider so we can set them properly in the EE config. Wish me luck 😊.
