I’ve used EE v1.6 before without any issues and I program using CodeIgniter, but installing EE v2.1.0 presented me with a few issues.

First I had an error after installation and I had to add $config[‘theme_folder_path’] to the config.php file. That fixed that problem, but now I have an install without any default template (is that correct?) and when I want to make a new post there’s no body field etc.

Seems all very strange. I think I will re-attempt the install, but not sure if that will fix it, or just do the same!

I didn’t rename the system folder or do anything out of the norm.

Anyone got any ideas or had the same problem?

    OK, ignore me!

Seems it really is a blank install… no field groups or anything. That’s why I was missing the fields.

I think it would be a good idea to have a default template and setup option for those that are new to EE v2.0.

    Ta.

Having read more in the forums I see that the problem was the Agile Records theme was not available to me when I installed.

GlennJ, just a quick comment. You’ll find the Agile theme in a drop down menu during the install. Unless you failed to FTP up the folder. But glad you figured out the problem. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
