We are trying to enter data in a template variable / field (“section”) and are unable to enter the data.  The html input field is set the maxwidth property to 0.  It appears to happen for all templates with that field / template variable. How do we enable the field?

Welcome to the forums! What version and build are you using? Any extensions? Where are you attempting to enter this, the backend or an SAEF?

    Thank you for the welcome.

    Version
    v 1.6.8

    extensions
jQuery for the Control Panel (v.1.1.1)
    FieldFrame (v.1.3.5)

We tried to enter it via the admin (see attachment).  The “section” field has a maxwidth of zero in both the publish page and the edit page.

Although we aren’t ready to go to EE2, as CodeIgniter fans, we’re looking forward to moving there soon.

    Regards,
    Quad

    Quad,

If you go to Admin ›  Weblog Administration ›  Custom Weblog Fields, then choose Add/Edit Custom Fields next to the appropriate weblog, and finally choose the “Section” field, what is set for “Maxlength”? Make sure it is set to what you want and then click Update.

    Does that help?

Set to zero.  I changed the number and now all is well.  Thank you.
