Some time ago i asked concerning ee licenses.
Now i’ve solved that dilemma and have come down to this.

I’ve decided i need a CMS software for my developments, sometimes(most) i’ll need light CMS capabilities for little clients who just want to be able to update some pages. And other times(more rarely) i’ll need full CMS capabilities for bigger clients with bigger needs.

For little projects where i can’t afford ee(or ee price seems relatively high to me considering project’s quote), i’ll use an ee alternnative like textpattern.
In bigger proyects where i can easly (without no doub’t) afford ee, and i really need ee power i’ll pay for it. That simple.

Downside for me is, me and my dev team need to learn 2 systems. Downside to you is, i won’t spread your software as much as i could. If we care about we do, both should be really concerned about this, in theory.

My license suggestion is that you sell expresion engine as though you were selling any other sofware. Let’s say adobe flash, they sells you their software for a higher price regardless of how many sites will you build with it, provided that it be used for one person whithin one same company. This way you avoid people installing licenses more than allowed (and i suppose you have plenty knowledge of it, with statistics).

I know pretending someone will do what i proppose, or even consider it with real posibilities at company level, is stupid and dreamer. But it’s something i felt i must blurt out. Now i feel better.

    Hi, Pepe -

First, thank you for your suggestions.

Have you seen our new publishing system, MojoMotor?  It sounds like it may fit the bill and it has a way to export to ExpressionEngine.
