Hi all - I have a client asking whether we can do proper, print-resolution coupons and membership cards directly from an EE site. I know it’s perhaps less of an EE question and more a fundamental “how to handle printing from the browser” question, but i thought i would put it out there to see if anyone has any experience in this area and might have a few tips for me. The site they want to build is extremely barebones:
1. Welcome Screen with registration form
A simple single-page welcome screen with their branding, etc. along with a welcome message and a registration form. Complete the registration form and you are directed to…
2. Thanks and Print Your Card Screen
A single-page of “thanks” language, along with an on-screen mockup of their personalized membership card or coupon, with a button below it for “print your card”, which leads you to
3. a print dialog box that includes only the card for printing. These are intended to be wallet size, so trim lines would likely be included with a fold mark so they get a front and back side with the same output. The card would include print-resolution logo, etc. for the company in question, as well as include the registrant’s name (carried from their registration) and also some unique numbering (to prevent duplication, etc. since the coupon is to be redeemed in-store for a free sample)
Is this achievable? I’m not asking for a “how to” just a yes or no, and if yes, here’s the basic considerations you should keep in mind.
Thanks all.
John.
