I’ve installed EE v1.6 on about 20 different sites, all of them hosted by us.  We have a client that insists on hosting their site on their windows server.  They’ve set up the MySQL dB, and installed PHP. When I go through the install, after the last step I’m seeing only the purple box with the logo and version number. I’ve attached a screenshot.  I can’t access the CP or view my home page.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

Are they attempting a fresh install of 1.6.3? That version is 2.5 years by now.

Yes.  You think version is causing the issues?

Not as such, necessarily, but since no one around here uses that version any more it adds another layer of complexity. There also were a few hundred bugfixes and improvements since then.
