This is a question I asked back in January, with no replies. Trying again:
We just recently enabled comments on our site (only members can make comments), and it brought up a question: What happens to comments that were made by members who are no longer active? By that I mean
- banned
- expired (a category we have—if their payment is not current, they can’t access any members-only features or see their profile, etc.)
- deleted
...? Do the comments survive, or do they go away (either hidden or deleted) with their authors? Ditto for weblog posts by banned/deleted members?
