This is a problem I’ve had since installing the engine but never got around to troubleshooting it.

When I create a post and go into “Categories” to assign one, I get the following statement in red at the top: “No categories have been assigned to this weblog.”

Well, where precisely do I assign them?!

I set up five in Admin > Weblog Administration > Category Management under “Default Category Group.”  Does that group need to be renamed for the blog to “find” them or am I doing something else wrong?

Under “Weblog Management” not the category management, so go to:
CP Home ›  Admin ›  Weblog Administration ›  Weblog Management ›  Edit Group Preferences
and choose/assign the category group.
