Hi,

One day, out of nowhere, the comments on my website disappeared. When I attempted to log in to the CP, I received this this error (and could not proceed any further):

MySQL ERROR:

Error Number: 1146

Description: Table ‘ediblevineyard.exp_comments’ doesn’t exist

Query: SELECT count(comment_id) AS count FROM exp_comments WHERE status = ‘c’ AND site_id = ‘1’

I have tried re-installing the latest version of EE that I had (1.6.8) and replacing/re-uploading only the necessary files ... no luck. I still receive the same error and cannot access the CP.

Please help!

This is most likely an issue with your database; a table (exp_comments) is missing. Ask your host about this, and/or use a backup to restore your db.
