EE entries tag pair rendering issue has "busted" my calculator page

Hi - I’m really struggling on this one.  The page is pretty complex with multiple entries tag pairs used in the same template to generate the lists that are then affected by the javascript (I hadn’t yet discover the matrix field type when i was building this site).  It was working until recently and the site own doesn’t recall changing anything relating to that page, nor has the template been worked on.  I’ve gone through the template and even reverted it back to the previous version of the template I am certain was working fine, but that hasn’t resolved the issue.  The first entries tag pair in the form that generated the list of “total hours” that are used in packages is where the problem appears to start, and yet if i pull that tag pair into its own template for testing purposes, it works fine.  But inside the order form template the open tag disappears when the page renders, but the closing tag remains, which I think is having a cascading effect on all subsequent entries tag pairs.  I’m hoping one of the more experienced EE support people will be able to spot what might be causing the issue and help me solve this problem.  This is, of course, a busy time of year for a wedding photographer, and so i need to fix my friend’s site as quickly as i can - I didn’t write the original javascript that performs the package calculation, but again, everything was working until recently.  Is there a way to spot why that tag pair is being interrupted?

    This is the affected page:

    http://www.trevorallen.ca/index.php/packages/

Every other page of his site seems to be working just fine.  And this has only been a problem for about a week.

This site is using EE 1.6.9.  There are a few plugins in use on his site, but the only one that pertains to this page is Freeform.

    Thanks,
    John

    John,

I don’t believe this to be an EE issue but more a Freeform one. Are you using Freeform 3?

I have personally run into this issue. Check out their support thread.

The solution being putting your weblog:entries loop inside and embed.

    Hope that helps.

You’re right indeed. I followed the workaround that other Freeform 3 users have found works and it worked for me as well.  I’m sure Solspace is working on a more convenient fix, but this worked for now.

    Thanks for the help!
