Website is "stuck" on the homepage

I’ve recently encountered a glitch that I’ve never experienced before. I’ve got a site where, no matter which internal links you click on in the menu or content, the homepage is always displayed—you don’t go anywhere in the site. You can see it for yourself here.

I made some updates to the site about a week ago, but it was working just fine then. It’s only been within the last day or so that this has begun happening.

I’ve told the client to contact their hosting provider and ask if they’ve made any updates/changes to their server. Is there anything that I should look out for, server-wise? Am I missing something within in ExpressionEngine?

The site is using EE 1.6.9, build 20100430.

You need to force query strings. This works: http://torontoafterdark.com/2010/?/updates/view/friday-aug-6-links-down-for-site-maintenance/

    Note the question mark.

If it worked before, yes, a server change is most likely.

That fixes some URLs, but not all of them. For example, this doesn’t work:

Works for me, telling me about “this taut sci-fi thriller from Switzerland” and allowing me to buy tickets.

Yeah, we got it all sorted out. As it turns out, the hosting provider upgraded Apache without telling anyone, and a bunch of stuff broke on the site (not just the URLs). Grr…

Thanks much for the quick assistance.

    Hi Jason,

Glad that you got that sorted out.

    Cheers
