Question, because i’m not sure it’s a bug or a feature request.

If i go to the filemanager via Content>Filemanager and i upload a file, the listing on the left is not updating, so i can’t see the file imediately. First i have to F5 the page before i can see the uploaded files.

Hi, Willem. Which build/version are you on? About how many items do you have in your folder?

I’ll see if I can replicate. 😊 Browser and operating system? (Should have asked you that earlier, my apologies.

    Hi Willem,

I am unable to replicate in Firefox and Chrome, which leads me to think some server-side caching is causing this. Do you have a local server such as WAMP on which to test?

    Hi Brandon,

    I’m not on a local server. It’s just a live server with Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) DAV/2 PHP/5.2.9

Understood - I’d suggest testing on a different server, as I haven’t seen other reports of this, and still can’t replicate it myself.

Did an install on another server, indeed it’s working overthere, so it looks like a server problem.

That’s a good and bad thing. So did you switch to the other server for this project?

The other server is not mine, so only for this test. I’m looking what the differences are between this 2 servers, so maybe i can find a solution for this strange problem, hopefully with help from one of you..

Perhaps the non-working server is overriding cache expiry settings? You might try browsing to both servers with Firebug’s Net tab enabled.

Under Admin > System Administration > Output and Debugging Preferences, do you have Generate HTTP Page Headers enabled? If not, try that. Otherwise I’m afraid I’m running out of ideas.
