Login form return="-2" loading XML file

    On my home page, I’m using a standard template for the structure of the page and am using a small Flash movie on the page to load an ee XML file for mp3s. On my site login form which is located at /login I have the following form:

    {exp:member:login_form return="-2" id="login_form"}

    If I go directly to /login from the home page and login, instead of returning me to the home page I’m directed to the XML file. Is there a way around this? Should I use a conditional to check if -2 was “site/playlist/” or something alike? If so, how would I go about doing that? Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forums, nixonmedia!

    The return= parameter expects either the standard Template_Group/Template syntax or a full URL. Can you try that? What version and build are you using?

    Hi Ingmar,

    Thanks for the response. I’m running 1.6.9. I understand the parameter..I’m just curious as to why its sending me to the xml file? I don’t want to go to a specific URL. I want to go back to the last page you were on (-2). I’m not sure if there is a way to avoid returning to the XML file?

    The bottom right side of the home page has a Flash flash file loading the XML file (http://rotobahn.com/site/playlist/). Any thoughts?

    Best,

    Jon

    I used this method and it works correctly:

    Thanks!
