Any way to disable the PHP warning messages when a function in an extention has been deprecated?

I’m thinking of rolling back my PHP version just so I don’t have to see all these warning messages.

Are these messages only visisble to the SuperAdmin? Then maybe I’m not too worried.

It’s only SuperAdmins unless you set it otherwise. Does that help?

Thanks Sue. Then it’s not so bad. As long as my users aren’t seeing them.

I don’t think you should ignore those warnings, have you spoken with the author of the addon about updating their code to use supported functions?

You are correct. I don’t mean to say they’re not important notices. I just didn’t want my end users to have to deal with them while I debugged.

I’ve only run into 2 addons that needed updating (so far):
    Dreamscape’s Invisible Captcha extension
    Solspace’s Flickr Tools plugin

The Flickr Tools plugin put 10 of these messages on the front end of the site which really messed up the layout and formatting. The Captcha plugin only gave me the error on the Extensions tab in the CP.

Dreamscape responded within an hour of my question to him and I figured out the fix for the Flickr tools on my own.

Glad to hear it, Marc.  I hope you’re still reporting this to Solspace so that they can address it for everyone. =)

Glad you got it all fixed up as well. If anything else comes up, please don’t hesitate to start a new thread.
