This has been document several time but I can’t make it work so this post….

Issue: EE doesn’t load the member pages and my CP template/skin doesn’t show. (I just have raw text)

Context: I just moved my site to another hoster and I’m running 1.6.9

I went through the misc. posts covering this issue and did what was explained ie. set the proper theme folder path + URL as well. I made sure to re-copy as well the templates (member and cp) just to make sure that the file transfer would not have failed for some reasons.

Is there any other thing to do to fix the member profile template and CP skins?

I moved the cp_theme folder and now I get the cp styles.

However, as for my member pages (templates), they still don’t show and I’m still getting the “Unable to locate the member profile templates” error message.  Any idea?

EE doesn’t show anything. However, if I go in the DB and look at the serialized value, it’s set to one of my template which exists in the theme folder.

If there’s nothing listed in the Default Member Profile Theme dropdown, EE isn’t finding the profile_themes folder. Double-check your theme folder path in General Configuration.

Also, ask your host if they are able to remove the open_basedir restriction on your server, as it may be preventing EE from functioning fully.

Just to close the loop. I reinstalled EE which fixed the issue.

Very glad to hear it. Please post again in case there’s anything else.
