Is anyone aware of a pre-built ad server module for ExpressionEngine 1.6.8? I’ve poked around the net and have yet to find anything.

We are currently using OpenX. While it is a great system, the invocation code fails 80-90% of the time.

If there is no EE module, do you have a recommendation? I need to dish out multiple banners with stats tracking. Eventually I will restrict certain banners to certain areas of my website. OpenX is nice because it has zones, but is also worthless as it doesn’t preform.

Suggestions? Commercial solutions may be considered based on positive reviews.

    Hotscripts is always worth a trawl… http://www.hotscripts.com/category/php/scripts-programs/ad-management/

I used http://www.adpeeps.com/ a few years back, worked well and tons of features including zones. I did see it got a few negative comments but it worked flawlessy on the site I worked on.

We have implemented OpenX scripts without rendering issues.  The only issue is performance on our sites. You may have an problem with your implementation or configuration.

OpenX is a mixed bag. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. For some reason OpenX and EE (1.6.8) are having issues with each other. The following error output occurs every other page request:

    MySQL ERROR:

    Error Number: 1146

    Description: Table 'shopstar_openx.exp_global_variables' doesn't exist

    Query: SELECT variable_name, variable_data FROM exp_global_variables WHERE site_id = '1' AND user_blog_id = '0'

I’ve tried to hunt down a solution, but after a few months of trying, it’s time to find another option.

adpeeps looks promising. Thanks for the suggestion! Hotscripts was the first place I looked. I haven’t checked out the Perl section, but PHP rolled a negative.

DoubleClick sounds perfect. I have created an account and am working through the motions. Great suggestion!
