    Hi all!
We’re proud to announce our newest publicly released module for ExpressionEngine 2 - our ExpressionEngine 2 Facebook Comments Module! This module allows you to replace ExpressionEngine’s standard commenting fields with Facebook comments, utilizing Facebook’s Open Graph API.

We felt it was important to make ExpressionEngine more available to the social-media ecosystem. To that end, we have created this module to allow users to comment on a site’s content. These comments are shown on a user’s wall, which their friends can see and share.

This module can do the following:

    1) Allows users to comment on any piece of content
    2) Use Open Graph’s iFrame for quick and easy implementation
    3) Use custom template tags for a more “skinnable” commenting solution
    4) Get the number of comments per article for blog listing pages (and the like)
    5) Customize the number of comments displayed per page as well as the width of the comments’ box

    Module Roadmap:

1)Ability to add Facebook Like button anywhere on your site
2)Ability to add Facebook Share button anywhere on your site

This module is publicly available on our Github repository – Download available here.

This is an early release so please be gentle :D
As per the guidelines of this forum, please submit all bugs / issues via github or as comments on the blog post (private messages can also be sent to our account here!).

    Documentation coming very, very soon.

Hey, dstechroom - this looks like a great add-on!

I would strongly recommend getting the docs hosted somewhere, or included with the software in some way.  That will make your add-on much more appealing to people; a forum post is really not the ideal place to host docs.

This isn’t covered in our community guidelines explicitly, and I’m gong to leave it, but please do get this moved off-forums at your earliest convenience.

    Thank you.

    Hi Lisa -
No problem, we’ll be happy to do that!

EDIT: Cleaned up the doc and moved it to the github repository.

Wasn’t Fabee doing it ? Their site seems to be down right now…

By the way great add-on ! I’ll soon be giving it a try. How does the user connects ? Does it Facebook Connect or something similar ? Also, is it possible to get mixed results (both coming from EE & FB) ?

    Thanks a lot !

Yes, It’d be really nice if it could mix results both from EE and FB. I’m looking forward to using this add-on.

I wouldn’t want to mix comments from EE and Facebook.. I think that would confuse people as conversations would be broken on the Facebook page.

Anyway just wanted to say… thanks! Amazing extension.

This plugin is very useful. Is it possible that you will update it to use Comments v2?

    Thank you!
