Is it possible to access the user’s member group in the forum templates? I see that logged_in_group_id and group_id don’t work.

What version and build of both EE and the forum module are you using? You probably should be running your forum through the regular EE template parser.

It seems to work, but I can’t seem to use logged_out in a conditional, i.e. {if logged_out}. Any ideas?

Is that still in the forums? What version and build are you using?
